Fold, Ride, Repeat: Luke Solomon’s Folding e-bike Life Hack

When DJ, producer and all-round music legend Luke Solomon moved from North London to the countryside, he didn’t just get a new studio - he found a new morning ritual. And it starts with his Estarli e20.9.

Most days you’ll find Luke out on his 7am loop, cruising down quiet lanes and flying down the big hills he’s discovered just off the beaten path. His chosen mode?
Maximum power. Always.

Luke’s been into bikes since the BMX days of childhood, but it was a stint in New York — commuting from Greenpoint to the Lower East Side — that made him fall in love with electric bikes. When he got back to the UK, he kept his promise to himself and started looking for one of his own.

Then he spotted it:
the e20.9 in his favourite green, right here in Berkhamsted.
One test ride later and he was sold.

What Luke loves most is how easily the e20.9 fits into his life. It folds into the boot, hops on the train, glides through the countryside and doesn’t make him worry about leaving it outside a shop. Plus, his kids now treat it like the world’s coolest garden toy.

And yes - the design mattered.
“A lot of electric bikes look like someone stuck a battery on at the last minute,” he says.
The e20.9? Clean lines, big tyres, a touch of BMX attitude. Exactly his vibe.

Luke might not have taken it into the city yet, but for now, it’s the perfect creative warm-up. A bit of fresh air, a blast of countryside energy and a whole lot of fun before he steps back into the studio.

Fold, ride, repeat. It’s working for him.
